I am fascinated by relationships of seeming opposites: light and dark, still and movement, solid and empty. All of these are representations of Yin and Yang, the essence of the life. 

Built more than 20 years ago, Spanish Village was designed to resemble the center of an old Mexican village with shops around a central plaza. A focal point was a small fountain in a traditional basin at one end of a large planted area. 

As part of remodeling their library, Montana State University wanted to include two art pieces in the 3rd/4th floor atrium: a fountain on the 3rd floor and a sculpture suspended under the 4th floor skylight.
